Helen J. Amick

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--Helen Jean Amick, 52, formerly of Rainelle, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1999, in a Nashville hospital following a long illness.

Born Oct. 21, 1947, at Quinwood, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Ellen Ruth Boone Sanford.

Mrs. Amick had been a resident of Nashville for the past two years, and attended the West Nashville Baptist Church. She was employed at Sylvan Park Restaurant, and was former manager of Pizza Hut in Rainelle.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and Harold.

Survivors include her husband, James Amick of Rainelle; two daughters, Elizabeth Ellen Hightower of Adolphus, Ky., and Robin Asbury of Marietta, Ga.; five sons, James Amick II of Calhoun, Ga., Kenneth Russell Amick of Hendersonville, Tenn., Kevin Lee Amick of Ringgold, Ga., Brian Michael Amick of Goodlettsville, Tenn., and Stephen Anthony Amick of Rainelle; four sisters, Betty Roberts and Jeannie Sanford, both of Nashville, Joyce Myers of Bowling Green, Ky., and Ellen Miller of West Jordan, Utah; and three brothers, Eugene Sanford and Bill Sanford, both of Nashville, and Mike Sanford of Columbus, Ga.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home Chapel, Rainelle. Burial will follow in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.
Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
